When visiting our website, our web servers will temporarily store your access in a log file, capturing and storing the following data until they are automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer;
  • date and time of access;
  • name and URL of retrieved file;

We process your data for the purpose of (i) enabling the use of this website (connection setup); (ii) system safety; (iii) technical administration of the network infrastructure; and (iv) optimising our online offering. IP addresses are only analysed in the event of attacks to our network infrastructure and/or our internet provider’s network infrastructure.

4. What do we do with your data?
We use your data to improve our website operation and to give you the best possible experience of our services. Your data is always transmitted encrypted by TSL (Transport Layer Security, aka SSL).

5. How long do we retain your data?
After the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, your data are blocked on behalf of retention periods stipulated by tax or trade law and deleted after these deadlines unless you expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved the right to further lawful use of your data on our part, of which we inform you below.
In the context of data collected during contact with us (eg, by e-mail), they are deleted after your request has been dealt with unless legal retention periods require otherwise.
We basically do not share any personal data
Unless this privacy statement specifies otherwise, your personal data are not shared with third parties unless you have expressly given your consent or we are obligated to disclose your data, for example, to comply with a court or administrative order.

6. Protecting your data
We have made technical and organisational provisions to ensure that we and third-party service providers working for us comply with the regulations of the Federal Data Protection Act.
We will only collaborate with other companies such as e-mail and server providers for the purpose of rendering our services only following an extensive selection process. During this selection process, each service provider is carefully chosen based on their suitability for technical and organisational data protection abilities. This selection process is documented in writing and we conclude a contract about the contractual processing of data only if the provider meets the requirements of Sect. 11 BDSG.
Your information is stored on specifically protected servers.
Only a few specially authorised people can access them. If you transmit data to us via online forms, these data are always transmitted using an encrypted connection (128-bit TLS).

7. Service providers from third countries
We use service providers from third countries to render our services. To ensure that your personal data are protected in such cases, we conclude special contract data processing agreements with each of our carefully selected service providers. We use the following providers:
Service providers helping us to perform marketing activities and analyses by using cookies; this includes letters 8 and 9 of this privacy statement.

8. Use of cookies
In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are saved to your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files saved to your hard drive relative to the browser you use, providing the site that created the cookie with certain information. b) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. This includes session cookies in particular. These cookies store a so called session ID to allocate your different browser requests to a shared session and to recognise your computer when you return to our website. We delete session cookies when you log out or close your browser.
c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a predefined period of time depending on the type of cookie. You can delete cookies at any time via your browser’s security settings.

9. Use of Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics. This is a service for analysing access to Google Inc. (“Google”) websites, and it helps us to improve our online offering. Cookies enable us to analyse your use of our online offering. We then receive reports with an analysis of your activities on our website. Google may share this collected information with third parties if legally stipulated or insofar as third parties process theses data on behalf of Google.
The Google tracking codes in our online offering use the

“_anonymizeIp()” function ensuring that IP addresses are abridged before they are processed to prevent personal identification. You can also configure your browser software to prevent the installation of Google Analytics cookies. In that case you may not be able to use our website’s functionality to its full extent. You can also disable or control Google Analytics using browser extensions such as tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Please see https://policies.google.com and www.google.com/analytics/terms/ for more information about Google Analytics’ terms of use and its data protection.
